MoneyBar scores VC funding, heads to Ottawa

A B.C.-based customer loyalty and rewards technology provider is moving to Ottawa under the leadership of a well-known local tech executive after receiving an undisclosed amount of venture capital financing.

Bluestone.vc made the investment in Vancouver’s MoneyBar Rewards Inc., which named Tyler Nelson as the company’s new chairman and CEO. Mr. Nelson is the co-founder of Ottawa-based tech startup YOU i Labs and has worked for Bridgewater Systems, QNX Software Systems and Research in Motion.
